About Graph Paper PDF

Graph Paper PDF is a free tool for making printable grid paper. It started from a simple frustration: most “free printable graph paper” is a fixed image in one size, often with a watermark, and prints a few percent too small.

Here every page is generated from your settings. The grid is calculated in PDF points (1/72 inch), fitted to whole squares inside the margin and written as vector lines, so a 1/4 inch square prints as 1/4 inch and a 5 mm square as 5 mm when you print at 100%.

How it is built

The generator runs entirely in your browser. Your settings are never sent to a server; the PDF is created on your device. The ready-made PDFs linked on each page are produced with the same code.

Using the paper

You may print and copy the paper for personal, classroom and commercial work, and hand it out to students. Please link to this site instead of re-hosting the PDF files.
