Printable paper templates dataset

Every preset on this site as a ready-made file: 107 paper templates in PDF and SVG, plus a CSV that lists the exact measurements of each sheet. Use them as classroom handouts, as backgrounds in note-taking apps, or as test images where every line position is known.

What's inside

Most papers come in US Letter and A4, plus the presets offered on each page, such as numbered grids, labeled quadrants, a guitar TAB staff, Cornell notes or a reMarkable-sized sheet. Whole cells are fitted inside the margin and centred, so line positions follow exactly from the spacing and margin in the CSV.

Using the files

Printing and handouts. Each PDF is one page. To make a notebook, set “Pages in PDF” in the generator instead of printing the same file many times; a 50-page PDF is barely bigger than one page.

Note-taking apps and tablets. GoodNotes, Notability, OneNote and similar apps import a PDF as a page template. The SVG files work in Inkscape, Illustrator, Figma, Canva and Cricut Design Space, where you can recolour the lines or combine grids. The reMarkable-sized sheets fill the screen of a reMarkable 2, Supernote A5 X or Boox 10.3″ without grey bars.

Test images with known geometry. Because the layout is deterministic, the CSV is enough to work out where every line sits. For a square grid without a header or numbered edges, the number of whole squares across is the usable width divided by the spacing, rounded down: (page_width_mm − 2 × margin_mm) / spacing_mm. The grid is centred, so the first line is at (page_width_mm − columns × spacing_mm) / 2. A 1/4 inch grid on Letter with 1/4 inch margins has 32 × 42 squares, starting 6.35 mm from the left edge. That makes the set handy for checking line-detection, deskewing or form-recognition code against exact positions.

How the templates were made

All sheets come from the same drawing code that runs this site's generator. It writes vector PDF and SVG directly, with no scans or AI-generated images. Line weights are 0.35 pt for light lines and 0.8 pt for heavy lines, which print cleanly on ordinary laser and inkjet printers. Light colours (pale blue, grey or green) keep the grid in the background once you write on it.
